The 9015 is a slim automatic option in Miyota's premium movement range. Its 3.90 mm height matters to a watch designer because the mechanism is one of the components that must fit beneath the dial and crystal.

Slim does not define the whole watch

Miyota lists automatic and manual winding, stop seconds, a quick-set date, 24 jewels and a 28,800-vph frequency. The published running time is approximately 42 hours. A case also needs space for the dial, hands, crystal, movement support and caseback. Choosing a thinner calibre without considering those parts does not produce a complete engineering design.

Check the calendar execution

Miyota's product page shows separate calendar executions with date windows at three and at six. The printing and supplied variant matter; simply opening a hole elsewhere in a dial is not the same as ordering the correct execution.

For a visual comparison, pair the 9015 with a restrained baton-hand dial, then compare eligible case and bracelet choices. The cleaner furniture makes it easier to judge proportions without confusing decoration with mechanical quality. An integrated bracelet is an attachment choice, not a current case family.
